This September

We gather in honor of the Mother, the nurturing, protective, fiercely loving energy that has been celebrated for centuries, from the reverence held for the Virgin Mother Mary to the divine feminine present across traditions and hearts alike.

This intimate live event unifies three sacred practices: somatic movements, sound healing, and mediumship. Together, we've created a small held space where somatics support the body, sound calms the mind, and mediumship opens a felt sense of intuition.

Paulina Seng will guide a somatic movement experience designed to reconnect participants with the energy of the Mother: the nurturing, caretaking, and deeply supportive feminine force that fiercely protects those she loves. Through guided postures, gentle movement, and intentional insight into somatic awareness, this experience lays the foundation for full presence in the body.

That presence creates space to connect with your inner world, allowing feelings both long-held and new to surface organically. The movements and postures offer a gentle container for emotional processing, thoughtfully designed to help each participant connect with their own Inner Mother archetype.

Event Flow

  • Opening: Somatic Movement & Sound Journey

    • Guided group experience to reconnect each participant to the energy of the Mother

    • Explores the part of us that nurtures, protects, and holds space, for others and for ourselves

    • Sets the tone for calm, presence, and openness

  • Individual Mediumship Readings

    • Each participant is called aside one at a time during the group experience

    • 15-minute private reading per participant

    • Rooted in the essence of the divine mother and inward connection, honoring her deep ties to intuition and to the soul, the same sacred force once understood as carrying souls within the womb.

This work extends beyond the hour and a half we share together. Rooted in mysticism; sound, somatic movement, and spirit combine to create a supportive healing environment through energy and sonic frequency. Together, they support a deeper ongoing return inward. Cultivating a lasting shift in how we relate to others, to our own experiences, and to our sense of self over time.

Why September Belongs to the Divine Mother

September has long carried the imprint of the sacred feminine. In the Christian tradition, the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is observed each year on September 8th, a feast so ancient it was already honored in Jerusalem by the late fifth century, marking the birth of the one who would become known as the Mother of God. It arrives at a threshold moment on the calendar: the close of summer's harvest and the turning toward autumn, a season the Church has long tied to gratitude, abundance, and new beginnings.

This same turning is mirrored in the sky. The sun moves through Virgo, the Maiden, from late August through most of September. Virgo is the only sign of the zodiac represented by a woman, most often pictured carrying a sheaf of wheat, an emblem of harvest, fertility, and the earth's abundance. Long before she was linked to the Virgin Mary in the Middle Ages, this constellation carried the stories of earlier maiden-goddesses: Demeter, whose grief and devotion as mother of Persephone, shaped the seasons themselves, and Astraea, goddess of purity and justice. Across every retelling, the same thread persists: a woman tied to motherhood, the harvest, and the nurturing, protective force that sustains life.

The mythology of Wales holds its own tender version of this same eternal pattern, in the story of Mabon ap Modron, the beloved son of the mother goddess Modron. Taken from her in infancy, Mabon disappears into a long unknown, yet he is never forgotten. Those who love him keep searching, refusing to let the separation be the end of the story, until at last he is found and returned home. It is a story found the world over: the child who is lost, the mother whose love endures the loss, grief giving way to reunion, winter giving way to spring. What matters most is not the particular names attached to the story in any one culture, but the ache and the hope beneath them, the same ache and hope that surface again and again wherever people have tried to make sense of the turning year, and of a bond between mother and child that no separation can fully break.

To gather in September, is to gather inside a season that has always belonged to the Mother, whether named: Mary, Demeter, Astraea, Modron or simply the Maiden of the wheat field. This event calls on that same lineage: the nurturing, fiercely protective energy of the divine feminine.

Across every era and every culture, the Mother has been honored as a source of life, protection, and unconditional love. It is the first place most of us ever felt truly held. For some of us, that reverence lives in our own mother. For others, it's Mother Earth herself, the ground beneath everything, endlessly giving life and holding us without ever asking for anything in return. For others still, it's the Great Mother archetype, the goddess who appears again and again across civilizations and belief systems, wearing a thousand different names and faces, yet always embodying the same timeless truth: that we are protected, nurtured, and never truly alone.

Whatever form the Mother archetype takes for you, her voice endures persistently beneath the noise of everyday life. It's just easy to lose track of it in the middle of a busy life. This event is our invitation to pause and let that voice come through again: through sound, through movement, and through connection. We'd love for you to be one of the 5 people who join us for it.
